Chicago Sky star Angel Reese once went viral by stating that her WNBA check wasnât enough to cover her rent. Many thought she meant she just did not have the funds, but that was far from the truth.
Reese came into the WNBA as the No. 7 pick in the 2024 draft. She made an immediate impact with the Chicago Sky, averaging 13.6 points and a league-leading 13.1 rebounds per game during her rookie year.
But the Sky failed to make the postseason after struggling in the final stretch. Now, they will look to earn a spot in the playoffs in 2025, bringing in new head coach Tyler Marsh and adding a few key players.
Chicago has already lost six of its eight games this 2025 WNBA season, including their last matchup.
Entering Tuesdayâs game against the New York Liberty, the Sky were not expected to win.
Angel Reese, for her part, turned a lot of heads as usual with her business-yet-stylish attire.
The double-double machine showed up at Barclays Center wearing an oversized black blazer that covered what appeared to be a black dress. Her outfit was valued at over $5,000.
We know this because Reese shared details about her outfit on her Instagram story.
Reese wore a sleek Balmain mini skirt with an asymmetrical waist and single-button closure, which retails for $845. Her Moschino wool-blend jacket, designed with a draped pearl necklace detail built into the satin lapel, costs $1,940 just by itself.
Underneath that was a $260.50 worth of Ganni Duchesse bow crop top.
Angel Reese also had a $1,495 Dolce & Gabbana Sicily leather handbag.
Finally, her footwear was some black slingback pumps, also by Dolce & Gabbana, which cost $795.

Angel Reese posted a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double, but the undefeated and defending WNBA champion New York Liberty crushed the visiting Chicago Sky 85-66.
New York opened the game on a 12-0 run and never looked back.
Reese was Chicagoâs top performer, shooting 8-of-13 from the field, including a three-pointer.
Ultimately, this was another brutal loss for the Sky, who have now lost five of six games by 13 or more points.
