Sophie Cunningham has some explaining to do.
With the WNBA season around the corner, the Indiana Fever wanted to ensure the fan base knew about the new players on the squad.
On Friday, the Feverâs Instagram account posted about their new star player and things they do in their personal life aside from playing basketball professionally.
With the Fever getting set to play on Saturday to open their season, it was time to get to everybody.
âGet to know Sophie Cunningham đđ€ đ ,â the Indiana Feverâs account said while laying out some facts.
Sophie Cunningham isnât afraid to share every detail about her life, thatâs for sure.
With the Indiana Feverâs 2025 season set to tip off this Saturday, the social media team shared a âGet To Knowâ graphic for Cunningham. After all, itâs her first season with the squad. She spent the past six seasons of her career with the Phoenix Mercury, averaging 7.7 points per game on 36.2 percent shooting from downtown.
Cunningham, who has become quite popular over the past year, shared a fun fact that involves her diet. It turns out she enjoys a meal that not many athletes would be willing to admit. To be fair, thatâs because they probably wouldnât like how it tastes.
Among the things were her birthday, her favorite actor, her favorite TV series, emoji, condiment, and other things.
One of those other things was Cunningham informing fans that she likes to eat spaghetti with ranch on it.
Cunningham joined the Indiana Fever as part of a four-team trade in the offseason, having previously played for the Phoenix Mercury.
The Fever will begin the regular season with a game against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on May 17.
The 28-year-old, who is heading into her seventh season in the league, averaged 8.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 37.8% from beyond the arc.

If it helps the Fever reach the ultimate goal, then fans will let her have it without a problem.
Houston Texans star Azeez Al-Shaair has admitted regrets over his illegal hit to Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the ensuing brawl between the teams in a lengthy statement on social media.
Al-Shaairâs statement comes as his three-game suspension as a result of the incident has ended and he is slated to return to the field for the Texans on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
On December 1, an Al-Shaair hit to the head of a sliding and defenseless Lawrence caused chaos in Jacksonville. The defensive back needed to be restrained by several coaches and Lawrence has not played since taking the barbaric contact.
âWhile so many jumped at the first opportunity to hop on the false narrative â that lâm a dirty player or bad person â the messages from all who stood by me were the only things keeping me mentally afloat during a time of isolation,â Al-Shaair said on social media.
âIâve learned so much from this entire experience. Seeing myself on video â letting my emotions get the best of me to the point where I completely lost it â was an embarrassing and eye-opening moment for me.â
âIâve had to earn everything in my life. I never want to allow anyone to get me to a point where I jeopardize everything that Iâve worked all my life to obtain. That was not the way I want to represent myself or my family and I will continue to learn and grow from that moment.â
The Texans defensive back was suspended for three games as a result of the hit to Lawrence
Al-Shaair said during his three-game ban, he met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and other league executives for the first time, taking issue with how he was characterized in the official announcement of his suspension.
The defender said he thought his character and integrity were âunjustifiably smearedâ in the release but the meeting with Goodell and others was âproductiveâ and gave him hope it would not happen again.

âIn that conversation â man-to-man â I owned and acknowledged that my actions following my ejection were careless and, in that moment, I didnât think about the responsibility I have been blessed with to represent the shield,â Al-Shaair continued.
âI also stated that the letter, and specifically the language used in the letter, was equally as careless and conveyed that the context of the words used were not a reflection of my character, nor my career, as I have not been warned multiple times for my play on the field.â
Al-Shaairâs hit on Lawrence was not the only controversial incident he was involved in this season.
During the Texansâ game against the Bears in September, he punched Roschon Johnson, who wasnât even in the game at the time of another sideline confrontation.
Al-Shaair ended his statement by saying his view is that everyone in the league office and on the field are on the same team to represent the NFL in the best nature possible, something he failed to do earlier this month.
âLastly, Iâll say that this world is full of negative people who canât wait to tear you down, but if you move with love and compassion, the seeds of good you planted in othersâ lives can grow into the very tree that shades you with comfort and compassion when you need it most,â Al-Shaair concluded.
âI am a man of God, I am a leader, a warrior and a lover. I am also a hell of a football player and Iâm grateful to be back doing what I love.â
