A beautiful couple, President Trump and First Lady Melania celebrate the 4th with a big smooch.”

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump made this Fourth of July one to remember, stealing the spotlight with heartfelt moments, unexpected dance moves, and the celebration of a major legislative victory.

As fireworks burst over the National Mall on Friday night, the First Couple shared a rare public display of affection from the Truman Balcony. Trump pulled Melania in for a warm embrace and a kiss, followed by a tender forehead smooch that had the crowd below “awww”-ing in delight.

“God Bless the USA” — and a Little PDA

Surrounded by military families and top Cabinet officials on the South Lawn, the president and first lady soaked in the patriotic atmosphere, with Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” blaring from the speakers. It’s Trump’s signature walk-on song and it played more than once that night.

Later in the night, the music took a fun turn. With pop hits like Katy Perry’s “Firework” and even YMCA playing over the speakers, President Trump treated the crowd to his trademark dance — that signature shuffle Americans have come to expect at his rallies. But this time, Melania joined in, smiling and mimicking his iconic move with open palms. The crowd erupted.

A First Couple in Sync

It was a joyful, humanizing moment from a couple that tends to keep their affection private. But on this night, they seemed completely at ease, celebrating the country, a legislative win, and each other.

The affection didn’t go unnoticed by the crowd, many of whom chanted “Four more years!” and even “Eight more years!” It was a nod to the unique nature of Trump’s return to the presidency for a second non-consecutive term. While the Constitution prevents a third term, some Republicans have floated amending it just for Trump.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’

Earlier in the day, President Trump signed what he called the “Big Beautiful Bill.” It’s a sweeping tax, immigration, and spending package that narrowly passed Congress ahead of his self-imposed July 4th deadline.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt held up the signed legislation proudly as Trump marked the occasion with a speech before the evening’s festivities.

Though controversial, the bill marks a significant policy win for the Trump administration. Even as billionaire Elon Musk threatened to form his own political party over the bill’s spending levels, Trump’s inner circle, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, and EPA Secretary Lee Zeldin, stood united behind their president on the South Lawn.

Holiday in Style: Off to Bedminster

After the final fireworks lit up the D.C. sky, the Trumps were off to their Bedminster, New Jersey golf resort to round out the weekend in presidential style.

Trump pumped his fist as he boarded Air Force One, Melania at his side, their Fourth of July celebration capped by love, policy wins, and another moment of pure Trumpian flair.
